Lately, Internet has become an ocean of AI slop. It's almost like LLMs talking to each other with an unhealthy obsession with em dashes, and words like certainly, delve and moreover.
MadeByHumans is yet another blogging tool which is meant to foster original thinking, celebrating imperfection and bring back the joy of writing with genuine human fingers. Overtime, the goal is to build a repository of raw thoughts, whether 100 words or 1,000 words, written by humans for humans.
The USP of the tool is the Sanctuary Guard. Instead of SEO keyword stuffing, the tool promotes users to write at their rhythm. By monitoring signals like typing cadence, hesitations, pauses, and tweaks, it assigns an overall effort score. Authors could even earn badges like 'Zero-Paste' and 'Deep-Thinker'!The system enforces two hard limits - Single Paste Limit and Lifetime Document Limit. YOu cannot paste more than 100 words in a single paste and across the entire life of a document, you can only paste a cumulative total of 300 external words. You are free to copy and paste internally within the document without any limits.
One feature that I am particularly fond of (though I haven't added one here) is the Audio Prologue. Authors can record a raw 60-second voice note at the top of the draft to set the mood for your readers before then jump into your article.
For every article, readers can also hit "Play" and watch a short timelapse of the entire journey of drafting with all the agonizing rewrites and hesitant backspaces.
For readers, the front page ranks articles using an algorithm based on human effort score and recency, penalizing machine slop and clickbait. You also read from your favourite authors in a chonological feed dedicated to your follows. The comment box only allows external links to be pasted, any other text pasting is prohibited.
At it's core, MadeByHumans is not about fighting algorithms or banning AI generated content, it is about reclaiming and celebrating the quiet, messy intimacy of humans that made reading online thrilling in the first place. The web needs more of your second thoughts, awkward phrasings, and your ideas that you struggled to bring into focus.Claim your blank page and share something authentic! :)
